Description:
SHAWNEE HIGH SCHOOL:

a. SHS-01 – HVAC Phase 3A.  Main Entrance Fan Room. Main Office, Nurses Office, CST, LGI - Replacement of AHUs, existing ductwork, controls, includes R-22 phase out
1. Removal of the existing rooftop Condensing units and Air Handling Units within the fan rooms serving the Main Office, Nurses Suite, CST Offices and LGI at Shawnee, including all associated piping and accessories not indicated to remain.
2. Provide Air Handling Units within the fan rooms, fed from the existing chilled water plant, including all piping, pumps, insulation and accessories required for a complete operating system.
3. Existing ductwork in space will remain except where specifically indicated to be removed or modified to accommodate the new HVAC equipment. Ductwork modifications at unit will be made to complete final connections.
4. Equipment will be integrated into the BMS by the Owner’s integration Contractor (AME Inc.).
5. BACnet compatible controllers to be factory mounted, Integration to be performed by AME.
6. Structural steel work as required to accommodate the proposed mechanical construction.
7. Restoration for interior and exterior building finishes, including but not limited to roofing systems, and interior walls, floors and ceiling systems; ceiling systems are to be dismantled and reinstalled upon completion of the above ceiling HVAC and Steel work.

b. SHS-02 – HVAC Phase 3A.  Guidance New RTU, R-22 phase out
1. Removal of the existing R-22 rooftop heating and cooling unit serving the Guidance Offices at Shawnee are to be removed, including all associated piping and accessories not indicated to remain.
2. Provide a new DX Rooftop Air Handling Unit Air Handling Unit including all piping, pumps, insulation and accessories required for a complete operating system.
3. Existing ductwork in space will remain except where specifically indicated to be removed or modified to accommodate the new HVAC equipment. Ductwork modifications at unit will be made to complete final connections.
4. Equipment will be integrated into the BMS by the Owner’s integration Contractor (AME Inc.).
5. BACnet compatible controllers to be factory mounted, Integration to be performed by AME.
6. Structural steel work as required to accommodate the proposed mechanical construction.
7. Restoration for interior and exterior building finishes, including but not limited to roofing systems, and interior walls, floors and ceiling systems; ceiling systems are to be dismantled and reinstalled upon completion of the above ceiling HVAC and Steel work

c. SHS-03 – HVAC Phase 3A.  New RTU and FCU’s serving Cafeteria, R-22 phase out:
1. Removal of the existing R-22 Rooftop Heating And Cooling units serving both the Main and Back Cafeterias at Shawnee, including all associated piping and accessories not indicated to remain.
2. Provide new DX Rooftop Air Handling Units including all piping, pumps, insulation and accessories required for a complete operating system.
3. Existing ductwork in space will remain except where specifically indicated to be removed or modified to accommodate the new HVAC equipment. Ductwork modifications at unit will be made to complete final connections.
4. Equipment will be integrated into the BMS by the Owner’s integration Contractor (AME Inc.).
5. BACnet compatible controllers to be factory mounted, Integration to be performed by AME.
6. Structural steel work as required to accommodate the proposed mechanical construction.

d. SHS-04 – HVAC Phase 3A.  RTU’s in Fitness Center B101, Trainers Room B106 and B105-9, R-22 Phase Out (The work associated with SHS-04 is included within the scope of a Bid Alternate.):
1. Removal of the existing R-22 Rooftop Heating and Cooling units serving the Fitness Center and Trainer’s Room at Shawnee, including all associated ductwork, piping and accessories not indicated to remain.
2. Provide new DX Rooftop Air Handling Units including all piping, pumps, insulation and accessories required for a complete operating system.
3. Provide new ductwork within these spaces unless specifically indicated to remain.
4. Equipment will be integrated into the BMS by the Owner’s integration Contractor (AME Inc.).
5. BACnet compatible controllers to be factory mounted, Integration to be performed by AME.
6. Structural steel work as required to accommodate the proposed mechanical construction.
7. Restoration for interior and exterior building finishes, including but not limited to roofing systems, and interior walls, floors and ceiling systems.  Existing ceilings are to be removed and replaced as indicated within the Contract Architectural Drawings.

e. SHS-05 – HVAC Phase 3A.  New AHU’s at Library Media Center, R-22 Phase Out:
1. Removal of the existing rooftop Condensing Units and Air Handling Units within the fan rooms serving the Library Media Center and adjacent spaces at Shawnee, including all associated piping and accessories not indicated to remain.
2. Provide Air Handling Units within the fan rooms, fed from the existing chilled water plant, including all piping, pumps, insulation and accessories required for a complete operating system.
3. Existing ductwork in space will remain except where specifically indicated to be removed or modified to accommodate the new HVAC equipment. Ductwork modifications at unit will be made to complete final connections.
4. Equipment will be integrated into the BMS by the Owner’s integration Contractor (AME Inc.).

a. CHS-01 – HVAC Phase 3A.  CHS North - Music Instrumental and Choral Suite, School Store; Art Classroom, A103; Small Group Instruction F101, F102; Classroom. E108; R-22 phase out
1. Removal of the existing R-22 Rooftop Heating and Cooling units, rooftop condensing units and air handling units within the fan rooms serving the Main Office, Nurses Suite, CST Offices and LGI at Cherokee, including all associated piping and accessories not indicated to remain.
2. Provide new DX Rooftop Air Handling Units, roof mounted condensing units and Air Handling Units within the fan rooms including all ductwork, piping, pumps, insulation and accessories required for a complete operating system.
3. Existing ductwork in space will remain except where specifically indicated to be removed or modified to accommodate the new HVAC equipment. Ductwork modifications at unit will be made to complete final connections.
4. Equipment will be integrated into the BMS by the Owner’s integration Contractor (AME Inc.).
5. BACnet compatible controllers to be factory mounted, Integration to be performed by AME.
6. Structural steel work as required to accommodate the proposed mechanical construction.

2. Provide new DX Rooftop Air Handling Units including all piping, pumps, insulation and accessories required for a complete operating system.
3. Provide new ductwork within these spaces unless specifically indicated to remain.
4. Equipment will be integrated into the BMS by the Owner’s integration Contractor (AME Inc.).
5. BACnet compatible controllers to be factory mounted, Integration to be performed by AME.
6. Structural steel work as required to accommodate the proposed mechanical construction.
7. Restoration for interior and exterior building finishes, including but not limited to roofing systems, and interior walls, floors and ceiling systems.

d. CHS-04 – HVAC Phase 3A.  CHS North - New AHU’s at Library Media Center, R-22 Phase Out:
1. Removal of the existing rooftop R-22 Condensing Units and Air Handling Units within the fan rooms serving the Library Media Center and adjacent spaces at Cherokee North, including all associated piping and accessories not indicated to remain.
2. Provide new roof mounted Condensing Units, and Air Handling Units within the fan rooms, including all piping, pumps, insulation and accessories required for a complete operating system.
3. Existing ductwork in space will remain except where specifically indicated to be removed or modified to accommodate the new HVAC equipment. Ductwork modifications at unit will be made to complete final connections.
4. Equipment will be integrated into the BMS by the Owner’s integration Contractor (AME Inc.).
5. BACnet compatible controllers to be factory mounted, Integration to be performed by AME.
6. Structural steel work as required to accommodate the proposed mechanical construction.
7. Restoration for interior and exterior building finishes, including but not limited to roofing systems, and interior walls, floors and ceiling systems; ceiling systems are to be dismantled and reinstalled upon completion of the above ceiling HVAC and Steel work


SENECA HIGH SCHOOL:

a. SNC-18 – Wood Shop F110 HVAC Phase 3A.
1. Removal of the existing rooftop Air Handling Units within Wood Shop at Seneca, including all associated piping and accessories not indicated to remain.
2. Provide new Air Handling Unit, including all piping, pumps, insulation and accessories required for a complete operating system.
3. Existing ductwork in space will remain except where specifically indicated to be removed or modified to accommodate the new HVAC equipment. Ductwork modifications at unit will be made to complete final connections.
4. Equipment will be integrated into the BMS by the Owner’s integration Contractor (AME Inc.).
5. BACnet compatible controllers to be factory mounted, Integration to be performed by AME.
6. Structural steel work as required to accommodate the proposed mechanical construction.
7. Restoration for interior and exterior building finishes, including but not limited to roofing systems, and interior walls, floors and ceiling systems; ceiling systems are to be dismantled and reinstalled upon completion of the above ceiling HVAC and Steel work.


2. CONTRACT FOR MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION – GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
a. General Coordination responsibilities including the following:
1) Coordination of the work with other prime Contractors active on the project site.  Other Contractors shall act in accordance with the schedule dictated by the Owner, and shall coordinate all construction activities through the General Contractor and Owner, as agreed and accepted by the Owner and Architect.
b. Selective demolition responsibilities included within the scope of the project shall include the following:
1) Removal of wall mounted equipment and furnishings as designated and required to complete the scope of the proposed work
2) Preparation of existing masonry wall and substrates as required to accommodate the proposed construction.
3) Repair, patching and preparation of existing ceiling construction as required to accommodate the proposed construction, and as required to accept the specified finishes.
4) Removal and relocation of existing electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems indicated and required for the performance of the proposed work.
c. Supply and installation of steel roof frames, dunnage and supports as required to accommodate the proposed mechanical construction.  Note that the conditions vary at each area, and are to be field verified.
d. Removal and restoration of acoustical panel ceiling systems, including coordination and sequencing of the work with the owner and other contractors.
e. Patching of building finishes damaged or altered as a result of the work of this contract
f. Patching and repair of roofing finishes.  The contractor is advised that roof areas impacted by the work of this contract are not under warranty.  Repairs and alterations to these roof systems must be performed in strict conformation with the written requirements of the roofing system manufacturer, and performed by a roofing contractor pre-qualified by the roofing system manufacturer.
