Lenape Regional High School District - Security & Access Improvements
Shamong, New Jersey
In an effort to address the growing concerns of security faced by School Districts nationwide, the Lenape Regional High School District commissioned The Design Collaborative to develop a design for secured entrance vestibules at each of their high schools. The District required an approach that provided students and visitors with a safe point of access to the schools. The District also requested an aesthetically pleasing solution that would complement the design of the existing buildings. At the Seneca High School, TDC designed a 600 SF addition at the west side of the school. The addition includes a security office protected by bullet resistant doors, transaction windows and package passers, electronic access control, impact resistance entry doors, security cameras and vehicle security barriers in the form of massive concrete planters.
